Get rid of Baby dry skin problems

I remember the first time i saw you..i came running to you, touched you, felt you, held you close to my heart, i made a ball out of you and laughed at my husband being hit by you.. But Mr. Snow you have made enough frequent obvious trips to check on me and seriously am not attracted to you anymore!
Seems like snow is on a roll. Hitting us hard almost once every 2 weeks. This winter has made my baby's skin so dry and has sapped all moisture from his skin too. My baby's skin was rough, dry, itchy and with all red patches on his chest, things were getting worse. We had tried Vaseline, Johnsons baby lotion and baby oil only to find it was all for temporary relief.
The second flu shot was due last month and so i got a chance to talk to nurse and show her the patch. She said it was a form of eczema and that the dryness might still persist even after we apply lotion or creams  and suggested Eucerin. I must say, there is nothing like Eucerin, we could see the difference right away. The redness reduced within hours and the body smooth. Now he is free of itchy, flaky skin and has more time to run around and enjoy winter than sitting and scratching.
Other tips:

    •    Use  Dove Sensitive Skin Body soap
    •    Apply Eucerin after tapping a damp towel on the skin or right after you dry him after a bath. That
helps to trap in some moisture.
    •    Apply it frequently.
    •    The air in the house becomes so dry when you have a heater on. A humidifier might help but the nurse was pointing out how it can worsen dust  allergy. If you are allergic its better to keep away from humidifier.

Boy or Girl with Chinese Calender

In this techie era, we have everything available for a luxurious and easy robotic life. Its a shame if we say the word 'impossible' anymore in this second decade of 21st century. But, god is great, of all the things, he never left a sure shot chance to choose the gender of our baby.  However, the gender of the baby must not bring out a critical issue since birth and delivery of the baby is a wonderful blessing. The knowledge on how to conceive a baby boy or girl with Chinese gender selection calendar is only a helping tool towards a healthy marital relationship.

The next day after i informed my mom i was pregnant, she types this message on the chat window. "You will have a boy according to chinese calendar". Well, that was the first time i heard anything like that. If only i knew this before pregnancy, i would have planned accordingly for a girl!!!Not that i dont like boys, i love my son. Children are always precious to parents ..be it girl or boy.

After a historic research, i found that the calendar did do justice to everyone i knew. It was so true for all recent mothers in the family. I have developed a special belief in this gender calendar. All i need to do is now wait till 2012 April to conceive my next baby… GIRL :D

This gender calendar was created more than 4000 years ago, and it was rediscovered approximately 700 years ago from the royal tomb. The Chinese conceiving calendar was originally created by a Chinese scientist for Chinese royalty.

Am not debating on how true it is. But to me its a wide open space to fill in hope, belief and positivity of knowing you might be having the baby you want... a boy or a girl.
And this is based on the mom's age at conception not mom's age at delivery.

No Child Born With HIV

Yesterday while enjoying a typical movie + carry out dinner, an Ad which was constantly being shown every 10 min in between the movie started to bother me.
The Qdoba Fajitha Burrito was making me thirsty or was it due to the wide open truth in the ad. It's just in front of us but, our brains play safe to ignore it. Ad was about HIV promoting ONE.ORG, No Child Born With HIV.

The movie was pretty interesting, one after a long while which i seriously sat down to watch.. But, this HIV thingy started to shadow out Clint Eastwood.
It was all about how to stop the HIV virus from passing from a mother to her child and to prevent any baby from being born with HIV.

A world where no mom can afford her kid to even have a mild fever has no idea what future holds in its store.
AIDS can be transmitted from an infected mother to her newborn child. Up to 30% of babies of infected mothers get HIV. 5% to 20% more can be infected through breastfeeding.
If you have HIV and you are pregnant, or if you want to become pregnant, talk with your health care provider about your options for taking care of yourself and reducing the risk of HIV infection or birth defects for your new child.
